The story begins with Mongolia's 2017 presidential election. Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were actively monitoring and supporting the candidacy of Khaltmaa Battulga.

2Victory — July 7-8, 2017
When Battulga won the runoff election, Ganbat immediately informed Epstein and relayed a message directly from the newly-elected president:
"Battulga called just now. He asked me to 'thank you for your support!' It's been an uneasy fight against the mafia state. Now the work begins."
3The Birth of "Genghis Coin"
Within hours of Battulga's victory, on July 8, 2017 at 10:33 AM, Epstein emailed about his grand idea:

4The Vision: First Sovereign Crypto
Epstein was shopping the concept to multiple countries. In an email to Sultan Bin Sulayem, a prominent Dubai businessman:
"The mongolians have asked me to create a digital currency for their country, as bitcoin has no sovereign guarantee... I wondered whether dubai should issue one, instead of mongolia."
